Automation Type

There are three types of automation.

For each type of automation, users have to define an Automation Step. For each Step, users need to select one or several Automation Action.

Quick Links are actions that enables the Administrator to setup simple tasks and have users access it at anytime from some forms on the different modules. 

Tasks can be as simple as creating and sending an email to a contact, changing a field value or it can be as complex as executing 10 simple actions one after the other.

Quick links can be accessed from the record level. It can be an Admin Quicklink or Public.

Record Action

Record Action are processes that may be setup to run when a state of a record changes. This can be a great tool for validation or executing consequent processes relative to a specific record.

The document events are Save and Create.

Scheduled Action

Scheduled Actions are specific task that is scheduled to run on a specific date(s) or events in the background. Some examples are scheduling a custom action or running a regular email merge.
