How to Generate a Quote
There must be at least one Active quote template.
Click on the link for details on How to create a quote template.
1. Select Opportunity from the Object Navbar.
2. Open an Opportunity.
3. On the Toolbar, click Quote button.
4. Select to either Preview Quote or Send Quote.
5. A dialog box opens to select a quote template. If there is only one active quote template, dialog box does not display.
As of June 2018, iCRM added facility to enable use of multiple Active Quote Templates to choose from.
6. On the dialog box that opens, either the Send Quote or the Preview Quote tab is opened.
7. On Preview,
The quote is filled by values of the fields that are configured on the template and formatted as such.
If the Line items is included in the template, it will be seen at the bottom. If the opportunity does not have line items then this table is blank but still included.
There are options to switch to Presentation mode, Fullscreen and to open the PDF.
8. On Send Quote,
Contact email address is defaulted on the To: field
Subject, Email Body fields are filled up by default (if they are set) from the Quote Template.
Click Send button, as needed. Email is sent with the quote attached.
9. Click Download button to save the .pdf file on your local drive, if desired.
