Creating an Account

All records in iEnterprise CRM modules should be associated to an Account. The Accounts form can be configured by the Administrator as far as field positions, labels, making entries mandatory and adding user-defined fields. 

The account form is shipped with a set of fields that are system-defined, and cannot be removed from the form. Some of these fields can be hidden and re-labeled as needed.

How to Create a new Account

1.  Select Accounts from the Object Navbar.

2.  Click on New Account Button from the Action bar.

A new Accounts form is opened and some default fields are pre-populated.  The form is organized by section, Account information, address information, other information.

3.  Enter Account Name. It is mandatory.  Required fields are denoted by (*) asterisk.

4.  Select Account Owner. It is mandatory.

Click on the Account Owner drop-down to select another name, if needed.

5.  Click on the "more" icon beside Account owner to view or edit the default privileges, as needed.

Owner and Created by fields default to the current user.  Default values for account privileges is set.

6.  Enter values for system-defined fields.

For instance, Account Type, Status, Region, Industry, Held by and Ownership are all multi-value fields.

For Multi-select drop-down, click on a value while holding the <Ctrl key> or the <Shift key>

The values to choose from are setup on /wiki/spaces/ECWIPBU/pages/211857 on the Setup Module and are configurable by the Administrator.

7.  Enter values user-defined fields, if applicable.

All User-Defined Fields are setup and configured by the Administrator.

8.  On the Address section, enter all address information that applies.  Two types can be entered : Main Address, and Other Address.

9.  Type entry for Comments, if desired.

10.  Select Mailing list, if desired.

Mailing lists can be used for Mass Actions like Email-merge

 11.  Click on Save on the action bar to save record.  

Note:  Save button turns green if all the mandatory fields are filled-up.

12.  The accounts form closes and account is now displayed on the Accounts Views.
