Navigating the User List

The number of rows displayed by default will depend on the value entered in the System Key pagination.range.

The user list can be navigated using one of the following methods:

  • Page Navigation Icons: Below the user forms there are page navigation buttons, allowing users to scroll through the user list.
  • Show All Users: In the title bar (above the list of users) there is a Show All Users icon. Clicking on this option will display all users in a single page view.
  • Search & Sort: The Search Icon is also displayed in the title bar above the list of users. Selecting the search icon allows administrators to search for records easily using either email address, pin number, field value or status. The sort order of the display can also be changed. For more information on using the search function, see Using the Search Function

Inactive users (those who have not connected to iEnterprise Mobile™ Server) are highlighted with a "Not Responding" message next to their email address. The period after which users are marked as inactive is set using the user.retentionperiod.days system key. For information on changing system keys, see Configuring System Keys

The following columns are displayed in the User List:

Field

Description

Email

Email address used for activation of the user.

PIN

Personal Identification Number, a unique id used to identify individual hardware devices.

Field Value

Defaults to the id the user entered to access the Data Source.
The field value can be used to identify individuals or to organize groups of users. For example, the field value could be set to indicate the geographic region or sector that sales executives are aligned to.
The value entered here can then be used within a download rule, using the takeinputfromuser parameter to target downloads based on the users' name, geographic region or sector.
For more information on creating download rules, see Using Download Rules

Language

The language defined for the user is displayed in the Language column.

CAD Status

The status of the configuration or Configure Application Definition (CAD) data. Displayed once the administrator has pushed the CAD to the user device. Status can be one of the following:

  • AWAITING_CONFMN: Indicates that the CAD data is ready to be received, but the user device has not yet begun the download and the server is still waiting for confirmation of receipt.
  • RECVD: Indicates that the CAD data was successfully received by the user device.
  • NOT SENT: Indicates that no CAD file has been sent to a device. This usually occurs when users activate and there is no CAD defined on the server.
  • Warning: Indicates that the CAD data has changed and is incompatible with data on the device. This is most commonly associated with Blackberry devices and usually indicates that fields or their order has changed. On Blackberry devices, the order of fields in the Admin console must match the order on the device. You must resend a new CAD file and if you have added new fields, also reload the data on the client device. For more information, see CAD Management and Reloading Data on User Devices.

Device

The device column contains the type of device the user has activated with and the version of the iEnterprise Mobile Client that is installed.
