Sending a Ping Request to a User Device
A ping request determines if a user has a connection to the iEnterprise Mobile™ server and returns information about the device, including version numbers and a summary of data held on the device.
Use the following procedure to send ping requests to users from the Users page:
- Click on the check box to the left of each user you wish to send the ping request to.
- Move the cursor over the Push to Device button below the table to display a pop up menu.
- Select Ping from the pop up menu.
- Once the ping request has been sent, a message will be displayed above the user list: Ping requests added to ping list.
The status and result of the ping request can be found by selecting Ping List in the Navigation Menu. For more information, see Ping Status and Device Summary Information.
