Using pop out windows
The new console attempts to keep as much information in the current window, without creating multiple windows / tabs in the browser. This is a departure from the v9 console, where many options resulted in opening a new tab/window.
Separate windows can be useful if you are planning to use copy / paste between modules / fields settings and so the ability to open the current window in a new tab has been introduced. This will allow users to open multiple windows and still compare values between the two without having to navigate between menu items to select objects / fields.
To open the current window in a new tab, select the pop out icon:

All items in the Utility section of the menu tree will open in a new tab. As a result, the "Back" arrows have been removed. Switch between tabs or close the current tab to navigate back to the console.
