Using the Swift MEAP™ Server Configuration Wizard

The Swift MEAP™ Server Configuration Wizard is a step-by-step guide to help you configure the modules, and fields, and related data from the Data Source that you want to mobilize via Swift MEAP™ Admin Console.

The Configuration Wizard will auto-launch on each new installation.  It will also launch if your server has been upgraded to a newer version that has the Wizard included.  In upgraded servers, there is no need to run the Wizard, unless you wish to change your configuration.

This guide will outline the features of the Configuration Wizard and explain what options are available to you in its use.  You may choose to skip the use of the Configuration Wizard and manually set up your Swift MEAP™ server, however the wizard is recommended unless you are an experienced administrator of the Swift MEAP™ applicatoin.

This wizard may also be used at a later date by the Server Administrator to re-configure your server.  Select 'Administrator -> Global Settings' and choose the Run server configuration wizard link at the bottom of the page.  This will re-launch the wizard with your current configuration details, allowing you the change as few or as many elements as you require.  Once your reconfiguration is completed and saved, your Swift MEAP™ application will reflect your new settings.

Features in the Wizard

  • Progress Bar - As you are moving through the Configuration Process, a Status Bar will update along the bottom providing you with a completion estimate.
  • Navigation buttons:
    • Next - Saves the current page and moves you to the next step
    • Back - Returns you to the previous screen
  • Saved Progress - If you are interrupted during the configuration process, the Wizard will remember your progress and allow you to pick up from that point on next launch.
  • Navigate To - This is a drop-down menu that allows you to navigate to any section of the Installation Wizard you require.
  • Last Visited Page - Clicking this button will send you back to the last page you navigated to.

 

Running the Wizard will alter your server configuration if completed, do not use the wizard unless you wish to change the current configuration or are configuring a newly installed server.
