Configuring Access Privileges

After installation of the Admin Database, its Access Control List will need to be configured.


To Configure the Access Control List (ACL):

Open the Access Control List, which may be found by clicking the Notes Menu Item Application -> Access Control List

Set the –Default– user Access to READER, as shown in the screen shot below. All users must have at least Reader privileges to access to the database.


Administrators must have MANAGER access to the Admin Database and the role [Administrator] selected (if not there already, you will need to add this role. Without this role you will not be able to manage all features in the LNC Admin DB.d



 


Important Notes

  1. Admin Database must be signed with an ID that has either Designer or Manager access to every user's mail file.
  2. The scheduled agents in the Admin Database won't run unless it is signed by a user or server that has proper Agent run rights on the hosting server.
  3.  Administrators can use Notes Administrator Client or Designer Client or Sign Database Action in Admin Database as shown below, and choose either the Current User ID or the Server ID.
