Create a folder named 'LotusNotesConnector' in the Mail Server.
Copy the Admin database file('IENConnectorAdmin.nsf') to that folder.
(Note: Filename or Path Name of the Admin database must not be changed as the Lotus Notes connector on the user's mail file will look for Admin Database in the path 'LotusNotesConnector\IENConnectorAdmin.nsf' of the Mail Server)
Copy Your Mail Template before you begin – If you are planning to install the Lotus Notes Connector into a mail template it is recommended that you create a new mail template for initial testing and production deployment to CRM users only. This can be done using as follows.
Open your current production mail template typically named (mail.ntf) in Notes Client or Domino Administrator client.
Click on File > Application > New Copy
In the 'New Copy' dialog box :
Server - Choose your Domino Mail Server
Title – Give your Master Mail Template a name that tells the views what this is. Example: “CRM Mail Master Template”
File Name – the programmatic name of your mail template. This must end in .ntf. Keep similar to the Title. Example: “CRMMail.ntf”
Encryption – Do NOT encrypt. Click this button and choose to NOT encrypt. If you selected your mail server in step 1, this button may not appear. If you do not see it, then skip this step.
Application Design Only – Choose this selection when making a template.
Once done with all 5 items, click OK.
Open the Properties of the NTF you just made, and on the Design Tab set this as a Master Template, and Enter the name you want this Template to have. Example: “CRM Master Template” 03
Install the Lotus Notes Connector into the Copy of Your Mail Template
Run the LNC on a mail file to load new design elements into the mail design or a copy of the mail design.
Open 'ConnectorInstaller.nsf'. Click 'Next' on the opening page.
Click on "I Agree" to the License Agreement and click OK.
Select your CRM on the dialog box and click OK.
In the Configuration window, select the box "Install Mail Database Integration".
On the dialog, type your "CRM URL".
Click the "Select Mail database" button to select the Mail File\Mail Template file you want to update for example CRMMail.ntf.
Checkbox "Install Scheduled Sync Agents" is selected by default. This automatically runs the sync agents as part of the install. If you would rather run this manually, deselect the box.
If your Connector deployment method will be via a Mail Template, you should still choose “Install Personal Address Book Integration” to your local address book. You can then create a copy of names.nsf as a Template on the Server and use that Template to deploy the design elements to the other user’s local address books.
Once all fields are entered, click the "Install button". You will be prompted to confirm Installation, select "Yes" to continue.
After installing Lotus Notes Connector to mail database, users must successfully activate before they can use the interface.
Open mail and click New Message.
Click the Activate Lotus Notes Connector button. The Connector settings screen will display where you can enter the information required to connect to your CRM, typically the URL, Login username and Password.
If all information was entered correctly, activation success message displays, click OK.
Close the mail database and reopen. User is ready to start using the connector.
