Client search criteria not working for all words in a name

Problem

The Quick search feature on the swift Meap client does search all words in the title. it only finds the first word. 

For example, You search in Accounts for a Company called "ABC Trading Limited". If you use the search string "Trading", all the accounts that begin with "Trading" are shown, but not the accounts that contain "Trading" in their names. 


Solution

There is a system key in the server console that you can enable the client to search strings that contain the search criteria, rather than starts with...

system key: device.search.use.contains

Login to the Admin console

  1. Navigate to Administrator - System Keys
  2. Search for the following system key: device.search.use.contains
  3. Set to 'Yes' and save.
  4. Create a new CAD and send to all users.
