Importing Device Messages

Once device messages have been exported and edited, they can be imported back into iEnterprise Mobile™.

The import will only update/replace the changed messages, not a global replace.


Importing a set of device messages only replaces the messages for the language currently configured in the Admin application. To change the currently selected language, see Selecting Another Language In Admin Application.

To import a device message file:

  1. In the Navigation Menu, select Utility then Configuration Tools.
  2. When prompted, enter a MySQL username and password, that has been configured using the iEnterprise Mobile™ Installer.
  3. At the top of the Configuration Tools menu is the import/export menu:
  4. Click on Choose File icon and select the Excel Spreadsheet (.xls) file that you wish to import.
  5. Select Import Device Messages.
