Creating Conditional Keywords

Creating conditional keywords allow an administrator to control which values are selectable from a list, depending on a value chosen in another keyword.

To explain how Conditional Keywords are work within iEnterprise Mobile™, the following scenario will be used:
A supplier has two customer types; Standard and Preferred. Preferred customers can receive goods using couriers in addition to postal or collection services, standard customers can only use a postal service or collection.
A Conditional Keyword List will be created using the scenario above. There are two Keyword Lists that were imported from the data source that will be used, they are:

• accountcategorycode: Keyword List allowing the user to select either a Preferred Customer or Standard value.
• address1_shippingmethodcode: Keyword list containing the Keyword Items we wish to make conditional:

To create Conditional Keyword Items:

1. Select Keywords in the Navigation Menu on the left of the page.
2. Select the Keyword Item that the conditional list is dependent on in the Keyword Items list. In the scenario above, the first value that the conditional list is dependent on is Preferred Customer. This is selected in the accountcategorycode Keyword list.
3. Click on the 'Add' button, then choose 'Conditional Keywords'.
4. Select the list of items you wish to make conditional. In the scenario above, we would like to make the address1_shippingmethodcode Keyword Items conditional: The title above the table indicates which selection the item will be dependent upon.
5. Select a Keyword Item you wish to include in the conditional list, you can select more than one value at a time. Click on the >> arrow to move the items selected into the Conditional Keyword Items column.
6. A pop up will appear asking to confirm that you wish to add the item, select Yes to confirm. In the scenario above, we want all items to be displayed for Preferred Customers.
7. Click on the Update button and select Yes to confirm changes.
8. Repeat steps 2 through 7 for all remaining conditional items.
