This option is used to add new MySQL users and assign which schemas each user can access.

  1. Select the "Change MySQL Authentication" button in the installer.

  2. Click on the Browse button and select the path of the Tomcat application and click next.
    1. Using the "Select Project" drop down menu, choose the server you wish to configure users for, and click next.
    2. Enter your MySQL root username and password details and click on the "Test Connection" button.
Alternatively, another MySQL user which has read and write access to the schema you'd like to change as well as GRANT privileges may be used.
    3. You should get a Success message if your details have been entered correctly, then click Next.

  3. You can now select or create a new SQL user and test the connection to the MySQL database.

  4. To set up a new user, click on the icon which has two people on it.
    1. You will be presented with a menu where you can add a new user and a password for that user. Click Create to create that user.

  5. You can now enter that new username and password and click the refresh icon (circular arrows) on the installer to see which schema that user has access to.

  6. To configure access to a new or additional schema other than what is on the list, click on the Set Privilege icon (has a key on it).

  7. Choose which schemas you want this MySQL user to have access to and then click on the Set Privilege button to save your changes.

  8. Click on the Test connection button. You should get a success message.

Click on the Update Password button. This will cause the new user, password and schema privileges to be created.  Once complete, confirmation is displayed.

Tomcat should be restarted.  If using a Linux installation, instructions can be found in Linux Preparation
