To sign on for the first time

1. Start your iPad.
2. The following screen is displayed, select Connect to my data source to continue activation or Use Local Application to use the offline demonstration data:

1. Tap Connect to my data source to open the activation screen.
2. On the Activation screen that is displayed, enter the email address and then Tap Activate.
3. The Login menu (below) will be displayed. Enter the login credentials for your business software.
4. Select or deselect the Remember me icon. If the icon is green, your Login Id and Password will be saved when the application is restarted.

1. NOTE: Your system administrator may choose to force users to login every time the application is started. They may also choose to force the password to be re-entered after a certain period of time.
2. Hit Go on the iPad keyboard or the login button.

Clicking on the Use Local Application will start an offline demonstration of the application. The application will then need to be reset before re-activating. For more information, see Clear Data and Reactivate.
When you tap Go, the following happens:

• The Swift MEAP server authenticates your login details with your business software.
• The Swift MEAP client application downloads the Configuration Application Definition (CAD) from the Mobile Edge server.
• The Swift MEAP client opens without any data.
