Detecting Network Connectivity and Automated Synchronization
Swift MEAP automatically detects when a network is connected and determines if it can connect to the Internet. The Connectivity icon is located on the left of the application interface in the Navigation Banner, for further information see Swift MEAP Overview.
The icon indicates current Internet connection status and changes as follows:

Action |
|
Connected - connection to the internet has been successful |
|
Disconnected – could not connect to the internet |
When network connectivity is available, Swift MEAP automatically synchronizes data with the Swift MEAP server at an interval set in the Swift MEAP Admin application. The default interval period is 10 minutes, which can be changed by your system administrator. If a connection is not available, work can continue within the application and Swift MEAP will continue synchronizing when a connection is re-established.
NOTE: If your organization requires VPN access to various applications, you will also need to have started the VPN client on your iPad before you can connect to the Swift MEAP Server. The "Connected" icon does not necessarily mean you've successfully connected to the Swift MEAP Server.
