The Data View
The Data View is used to view detailed information, to amend existing records or to add related data. For further information on adding related data, see Adding Related Data.
This area covers the right hand side of the screen and can be drilled down several levels to access information related to the record currently selected in the List View area.
The following example will be used to identify areas within the Data View:
The Data View is divided into the following sections:
- Title Bar (blue area): Contains the name of the record that you have selected and the Edit button, if editing is allowed. For more information on editing, see Editing Existing Records.
- Business Card (green area): Information displayed here is customizable through the Swift MEAP Admin application by your system administrator. In the example above, the name of the record and record status (customer) is displayed.
- Key Record Information (red area): Telephone number is displayed. Fields within the Key Record Information area are only shown if they contain data. In the example above, an administrator could have chosen to display fax numbers by default, but if there is no number stored, the field is not displayed.
- Related Lists (yellow area): Displays data associated with the currently selected record and the number of data items related with it. For example, "Contact (4)" indicates that there are four contact records associated with this Account.
