Field Mapping for Modules works the same fashion as Mapping Modules from Data Source (previous).

You may add fields to the mapping list by clicking on a field in the 'Available Fields' column and dragging it to the 'Configured Fields' column.   Only objects in the 'Configured fields' column will be mapped.

The display order When mapping fields, we are displaying a graphical representation of of a tablet device.  This tablet is used to configure where fields are displayed on the client device for all tablet and phone devices.  No separate configuration is required, when the phone client is used, we display one page at a time, with the list of records displayed first.

The tablet display within the black border below, will give you an idea of how the device will look once configured. The Activity module is used in this example:

You can drag and drop fields from the Available fields table to any of the following sections:

  • Record Description fields: You can use any of the 6 fields, in order for data to display, you must add at least one field to the record description fields.
  • Window Title: You can add multiple fields to the Window Title field.
  • Groups: You can drag and drop fields to any of the groups. Click on the Create Group button Image Addedto create more groups. The new Group will appear under the last Group.

  • The display order of fields may be changed by clicking and dragging a field to reposition
it in the 'Configured Fields' column.

To remove a field from your configuration, click and drag fields back to the 'Available Fields' column.

  • You can remove the mapped field by tapping the remove Image Added  icon.
  • You can edit the field settings by tapping the Edit Image Added icon.

Your choices are:

  • Allow Lookup on the datasource: Determines whether a field can be used for a searching against the Data Source.
  • Required Field: Sets the field as mandatory.
  • Read Only Field: Field vale will be read only.
  • Data Type: The Types column indicates how the field format has been defined within the Swift MEAP™ application. See Field Types for more details.
  • Referenced Object: This is displayed if the Data Type selected is REFERENCE and allows you to define the parent object.
  • Field Function: The Attributes column displays the attribute used to control how data is entered into a field or how the Swift MEAP™ interacts with other applications. See Field Attributes for more details.

Once you are done selecting your fields, click the Next button at the bottom right of the page to continue to the next module, else click the the Back button  button to return to the previous screen.
