Create/Send a new CAD
When you have a configuration that you are happy with, you can create a new CAD to send to users. To create a new CAD, do the following:
- In the administration application, click on CAD Management
- Click Create new CAD
- Give it a meaningful name and description, such as a version number and what was changed/added from previous version.
- If you would like for this CAD to be the one sent to users when they activate, check the box marked Production.
- Click Save
To send a new CAD or configuration file, use the following procedure from the Users page:
- Click on the check box to the left of each user you wish to send the CAD file to.
- Move the cursor over the Push to Device button below the table to display a pop up menu.
- Select Cad from the pop up menu.
- A message will be displayed to select a CAD version. Click Yes to send.
You can mark a CAD as "Production" to have it automatically chosen as the delivered configuration for users and new users.
Once the Notification has been sent, a message will be displayed above the user list. If successful, the message will read: Create and send cad process progressing.
The next time the screen is refreshed, the Cad Status column will change to display AWAITING_CONFMN next to the user. This indicates that the new configuration data has been sent and is waiting to be received by the mobile user device.
This process should be completed when the client application next connects to the iEnterprise Mobile™ server.
Once downloaded, the update process is started immediately by the client application. The user will need to restart the client application.
