Quick Selector Overview

Using the Quick Selector, we can display all of the products in a single list along with the quantity field. This allows users to enter quantities for several products at once, clicking on the Save button will create a record for each product they have entered. Information can also display information not otherwise available in the standard data entry form, such as the "List Price" from the Product records. 

An example of where the Quick Selector can be utilized is in a Sales environment where a user discovers, when visiting a client, an opportunity for a future sale within an account. 

In this instance, a user is expected to create an Opportunity record and then list the products (and quantities of those products) that the customer is interested in. These would normally be captured within an Opportunity Products module, each record can only contain one product and is a child module associated to the Opportunity.
The user would need to enter the quantity, select a Product (parent of Opportunity Products module), click on Done and then create another record for the next product. If there are a number of products to enter, this can become time consuming.

If the user clicked on the Save icon shown in the example above, four Opportunity Product records would be created, each record would contain the Quantity, parent Product Id and association to the Opportunity. Records are only created if the green checkmark icon is displayed. Entering data in the quantity field automatically sets the green checkmark.
