Sending the Configuration Application Definition File to Users

If JavaScript code or a particular device message is created or changed, then you must send the updated CAD file to users so that the update will be visible on mobile devices. It is not necessary to reload data onto user devices. For information on creating a new CAD, and more information about CAD management, please see the Swift MEAP™ Administration Guide.

To send the CAD to users

  1. Click Users on the vertical navigation bar in the Admin application.
  2. Select the check box next to each user to whom you want to send the latest configuration data.
  3. Click Push To Device, CAD, and then click Yes when prompted for confirmation to rebuild and send the CAD data.

 

If no CAD were marked as 'Production CAD', then in the above steps you would be prompted to choose a CAD version to deliver to the device selected.
