This template is going to be used every time a Quote is processed.

How to create a Quote Template

1.  Click Setup from the

Tools bar

Toolsbar and select Templates.

2.  Click

on Templates > Quote Templates

 Quote Templates on the left panel.

3.  Click New Quote Template from the Action bar.  Dialog box opens.

4.  On the New Quote Template dialog box, Enter Name.

5.  Select Active checkbox if you want this quote to be in useavailable for selection on Generate Quote.

6.  On the Quote Template tab, build the format/layout of the quote using the html text editor.

a.  Use the different tools to add image and links, format text, create tables and etc.

7.  Click "@" key on the keyboard to open fields list dropdown and insert data placeholders.  Select the needed module fields and position on form.

a.  Under Opportunity Fields, select any of the opportunity fields.

b.  Under Account Fields, select any of the associated accounts fields.

c.  Under Contacts Fields, select any of the associated contacts fields.

d.  Select Subscription Info field to add Subscription details on the quote

e.  Select any of the line items fields from the opportunity record. Opportunities can have line items and these can be added to the quote form.

f.  Select special fields such as Quote number and/or Current Date, as needed.   Quote Number is an incrementing value read from and updated on the Company configuration.

Note

Quote Number is incremented everytime the quote is previewed.

8.  On the Email Details tab, populate the fields.

a.  Enter Email Subject.  This is the default subject on the email notification.

b.  Enter To, Cc, Bcc.  These will be the default entries for recipients of the email with quote.

The email address of the associated Contact on the Opportunity will be the fist recipient on the To: field when the Quote is sent.

c.  Enter the Body of the email. 

8.  Click Submit.

The new quote is added to the list.
