Alternate method to allow automatic sync for Gmail

Follow these steps to enable Gmail sync, if you are not a “G-Suite” user OR if you don’t have access to G-Suite admin panel to trust iEnterprise Mail sync.

Open Gmail,

  1. Goto “Settings”.

  2. Goto Tab “Forwarding and POP/IMAP”.

  3. Make sure “IMAP access” is enabled.

Open Manage your Google Account ,

(By clicking your photo that appear at top-right portion of your Gmail screen)

  1. Goto “Security”

  2. Under “Signing in to Google“, Choose “App Passwords”.

  3. Generate an App password for isync.ienterprises.com (2-step verification must be enabled to see the “App passwords “ option)

  4. Copy the password.

In Email Sync connection settings,

  1. Choose “Other” as Provider.

  2. Enter Server - “imap.gmail.com“.

  3. Enter Port - “993”.

  4. Enter your Gmail address as the user name.

  5. Paste / Enter the password generated above as the password.

  6. Enable “Require SSL”.

  7. Click “Connect”.

  8. Make sure you get the “Connection success” message.

You are now connected for automatic sync. You can click the “Sync now” button to test the sync.
